Position: Center BirthDate: Jan. 3, 1977 Birthplace: Seattle, WA Highlights Had an abbreviated college career caused by severe troubles with his feet. Played in just 66 games over a five-year stretch. When healthy, was able to amass 153 blocks, which ties him for third place in West Coast Conference history. Nicknamed "Big Continent." College highlights at St. Mary's (Calif.) Played in 11 games in 1999-00 before missing the final 17 with an endema around the navicular bone in his right foot. Blocked 36 shots in that span, including a career-high nine in the season opener against Colorado. Scored a career-high 24 points against San Jose State on Dec. 18. Averaged a team-high 13.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Played in three games in 1998-99, missing the first two and one-half months of the season after breaking the navicular bone in his left foot. Had 10 points, five rebounds and one block against San Diego in the WCC Tournament Semifinals. Received a medical redshirt for the 1997-98 season after playing in just two games. Sidelined after suffering a broken fifth metatarsal in his left foot during warm ups before a game against California on Nov. 29. Had surgery in early December to place a screw in the bone. Had a second surgery in early May when doctors grafted bone from his hip and placed it over the fracture. Was named First Team All-West Coast Conference in 1996-97. Had 16 points in a first round NCAA Tournament loss to Wake Forest, being guarded by Tim Duncan much of the time. Set a school record with 92 blocks. Had a then school record six blocks in a win over Pepperdine. Was named MVP of the Hawaii PowerBar Invitational, registering 15 points, nine rebounds and four blocks in the title game against Hawaii. Was also named MVP of the BYU Cougar Classic, tallying 15 points, five rebounds and five blocks in the final against Boise State. Appeared in 19 games as a freshman in 1995-96. Averaged 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
