Named GTE-CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year for 1999-00. Signed with Bayer Leverkusen (Bundesliga 1) in Germany in April. Was first Northern Illinois player to score at least 400 points in four different seasons and also to be named to conference first team four times. Ranks first in school history in scoring (1,996 points), rebounding (1,110 boards), games (116) and point-rebound double-doubles (59); second in career field goals (738) and blocked shots (156); third in free throws (490); and fourth in steals (130). Named to school's 25-man All-Time Chick Evans Field House Team. Was a three-time school MVP and captain. At Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaged 10.3 ppg and 8.5 rpg in 22 minutes per game. College highlights at Northern Illinois As a senior, ranked 27th in NCAA in scoring (19.9 ppg). Led all active Division I players in career rebounds and career point-rebound double-doubles during regular season. Was runner-up for Mid-American Conference Player of the Year. Posted career-highs with 36 points and 20 rebounds vs. Marshall. Poured in 30 points vs. Western Michigan. Notched 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds vs. Boston University and recorded 23 points and 19 boards vs. Eastern Michigan. Was national recipient of Anson Mount Scholar-Athlete Award. Awarded medical redshirt in 1998-99 after missing 21 games due to shin splints. Ranked sixth in Division I in rebounding as a junior (11.1 rpg), also averaging 18.6 ppg. Became first Division I NIU player to earn First Team all-league honors and also the first to win league rebound title.
