Increased scoring and rebounding averages every year. His 129 games (104 starts) played is tied for third at St. John's. Connected on 78.9 percent of his free throws, eighth-best at SJU. His 1,413 career points place 15th on the all-time scoring list.

The recipient of the Big East Conference Scholar Athlete Award as a senior and was also a member of the St John's President's Society, graduating with a 3.15 GPA in Spanish. At Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, earned all-consolation honors after averaging 18.7 ppg. At Nike Desert Classic, averaged 9.0 ppg.

Finished third on team in scoring (14.3 ppg) as a senior and was a Second Team All-Big East selection. He led the team in rebounding (6.9 rpg) and free throw shooting (.809). Reached double figures in scoring 28 times and recorded three double-doubles. Led the team in scoring seven times and was its top rebounder 14 times.

Hit 17 consecutive free throws at one point during the season. Set a career-high with 26 points, including 10-for-10 from the line, vs. West Virginia. Scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a win at Connecticut. Named to the Big East All-Tournament Team after averaging 16.0 ppg and 7.7 rpg as St John's won its first Big East Championship since 1986. Played all 40 minutes in the championship game vs. Connecticut and had 14 points and eight rebounds.

As a junior, named to the NCAA South Region All-Tournament Team as the Red Storm advanced to the Elite Eight where they lost to Ohio State. Postell led St. John's with 24 points vs. the Buckeyes. Played in all 37 games, with 12 starts and finished fourth on team in scoring (13.1 ppg) and second in rebounding (6.4 rpg). Scored in double figures 27 times and led SJU in scoring on eight occasions. Scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds vs. top-ranked Connecticut. Had 18 points and 15 rebounds vs. Georgetown. Had 19 points and 13 rebounds vs. Notre Dame. Posted 16 points and 10 rebounds vs. Indiana in second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Started all 32 games as a sophomore and finished fourth on the team in scoring (9.9 ppg) and fourth in rebounding (5.1 rpg). He scored in double figures 13 times and had two double-digit rebounding games. He connected on 82.6 percent of his free throws, tops on the team. Scored season-high 21 points vs. Notre Dame. Grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Colgate. Finished third on the team with 33 steals.

Started all 27 games as a freshman and averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He finished fourth on the team in assists with 60. Finished first on the team in steals with 34 and was second in blocks with 14.
