CLEVELAND (AP) -- Shawn Kemp and the Cleveland Cavaliers teammates were motivated to come back from a 48-point loss. Kemp did not even let a gash over his right eye keep him from his mission Saturday night as he scored 29 points to lead Cleveland past the Atlanta Hawks 127-116. "We had to sleep all night with that bad feeling," Kemp said about a 136-88 loss in Indiana on Friday night. "We wanted to come back and give it an honest effort. It worked out well." Kemp was cut when he ran into Atlanta's Chris Crawford with 5:18 left in the third quarter, forcing him to go the locker room for treatment. He returned with a minute left in the quarter and played with a bandage over the gash. Bob Sura scored 24 points and Lamond Murray had 21 for Cleveland, which again rebounded from a blowout loss with an impressive victory. Two weeks ago, the Cavs recovered from a 23-point loss in Philadelphia with a 17-point home victory over Charlotte. "We had a good talk about what had to be changed," Cavs coach Randy Wittman said. "Not in any kind of strategy, but in terms of effort. Defensively, we got the stops that turned loose our running game." Isaiah Rider led Atlanta with 27 points, Alan Henderson had 21 points, and Jim Jackson 20. Hawks coach Lenny Wilkens got a second technical foul and was ejected by referee Tony Brothers with 9:43 left. Wilkens yelled out, "That's a travesty," when the Hawks did not receive free throws when Crawford was fouled on a drive to the basket. "We got behind early and did not play well," Wilkens said. Sura's 15-point first quarter helped Cleveland to a 39-29 lead and the lead never dipped under double digits.
