SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Chris Webber scored 26 points, grabbed

Jersey Nets 105-92.
| | Chris Webber had another monster game for the Kings. |
It was the ninth career triple-double for Webber, who has helped
the Kings get off to a league-best 8-1 start. It also marked the
best start in franchise history, surpassing the 1952-53 Rochester
Royals.
The win streak is the longest for the franchise since the Kansas
City Kings won seven straight in February 1977. Sacramento has won
13 straight games at home over the last two years and is 20-2 in
its last 22 regular-season games.
Stephon Marbury had 31 points and seven assists for New Jersey,
which lost its seventh straight game. The Nets' 1-10 record is the
worst in franchise history. Keith Van Horn added 12 points and 17
rebounds.
Lawrence Funderburke came off the Kings' bench to score 18
points and grab nine rebounds. Nick Anderson added 14 points.
The Kings outscored the Nets 34-20 in the second quarter to take
a 10-point halftime lead. New Jersey trailed 89-75 entering the
final period. Despite the Kings going more than five minutes
without a field goal in the fourth quarter, the Nets never got the
margin under nine points.
Sacramento made three consecutive 3-pointers, two of them by
Jason Williams, in building a 73-55 lead at the 9:10 mark.
Webber scored 12 points, had eight rebounds and six assists,
helping the Kings build a 60-50 lead, at halftime.
Trailing by seven points in the opening four minutes of the
second period, the Kings closed the quarter by outscoring the Nets,
38-11.
Game notes The Nets did not commit a turnover in the second period
and had just three in the first half. ... Nick Anderson missed a
pair of third-quarter free throws, his first attempts of the
season. ... Vlade Divac's string of 58 straights starts for the
Kings ended. Suffering from the flu, he came off the bench late in
the first period and finished with six points and seven rebounds.
... In the midst of a shooting slump, Keith Van Horn made 4-of-16
first-half shots and finished 6-of-22.
