AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) _ Jerry Stackhouse's driving layup with sixth-tenths of a second left gave the Detroit Pistons an 107-106 exhibition victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Stackhouse finished with 30 points, while Grant Hill added 28 points and eight assists for the Pistons. Shawn Kemp led Cleveland with 24 points, including 15 in the final 5:22, and grabbed 12 rebounds. Danny Ferry added 20 points for the Cavaliers. Kemp missed a shot in the closing seconds, but he got the rebound, was fouled and made two free throws to put Cleveland ahead 106-105 with 3.3 seconds left. Stackhouse then took the inbounds pass and drove past Wesley Person for the winning layup. Cleveland led 49-45 at halftime, with Ferry scoring 16 points off the bench. The teams played evenly throughout the third, with Detroit finally pulling ahead on Stackhouse's short jumper late in the period. That shot came in the middle of an 11-2 Pistons run that helped put them ahead 81-78 with 12 minutes left. The Cavaliers continued to struggle early in the fourth, missing their first five shots and going scoreless for more than three minutes. That helped the Pistons expand their lead to 85-78. Andrew DeClerq got Cleveland within 89-86 on back-to-back dunks, but the Cavs didn't get even until Person's 3-pointer tied it 99-99 with 2:20 to go. Detroit led by one with a minute to play, but Christian Laettner turned the ball over and Kemp completed a three-point play to put the Cavs up 104-102. That gave Kemp 13 points in a span of less than five minutes. Hunter answered with a 3-pointer to put Detroit ahead.
