ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Keith Van Horn scored 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the New Jersey Nets to a 122-101 exhibition victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Kiel Center. The Nets (4-1) won despite a huge offensive game by Philadelphia's dynamic backcourt duo of Allen Iverson and Larry Hughes. The pair kept Philadelphia (2-3) in the game by scoring 30 and 24 points, respectively. Hughes also grabbed 15 rebounds. The win was the third in a row for the Nets. New Jersey's Stephon Marbury scored 29 points but fouled out with 9:03 left in the fourth quarter. Johnny Newman hit all four of his 3-pointers and added 17 points for New Jersey. Matt MacCulloch, a 7-foot rookie from Washington, scored 15 points for the 76ers. Philadelphia led 85-84 after three periods. Van Horn turned it on and scored 13 of his points in the pivotal fourth quarter. Prior to the game, Hughes, who played at Saint Louis, thanked the crowd for attending the exhibition game.
