ORLANDO (AP) _ Chris Gatling sparked a late rally with 13 fourth-quarter points to pace the Orlando Magic to an 85-76 comeback victory over a depleted Miami Heat squad Friday night.

For the Magic, who trailed for most of the game, the victory marked its second straight preseason win while Miami dropped its first contest against an NBA opponent.

Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Dan Majerle did not travel with the team due to minor injuries.

Monty Williams led Orlando with 20 points in 24 minutes, including 13 straight during a 5-minute stretch of the third period. Anthony Carter led the Heat with 15 points.

Gatling, who was not inserted into the game until midway through the third quarter, scored his first five points as Orlando opened the fourth quarter with a 9-2 run to make it 60-59.

The lead then changed hands three times over the next 1:12 before Bo Outlaw put the Magic ahead to stay, 64-63, with a put back layup off a missed Gatling free throw with 7:43 remaining.

Orlando then put the game away as Outlaw's bucket ignited a 13-0 run that pushed its margin to 75-63 with 3:48 to play. The Heat was held scoreless for nearly 5 minutes during the Magic's game-clinching spurt.
