PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Toni Kukoc had 23 points and six assists in only 26 minutes, and Allen Iverson scored 24, as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Washington Wizards 93-84 Wednesday night. Kukoc reached his highest point total since joining the Sixers from Chicago in a three-team deal in February, hit the hosts' only two 3-pointers of the night, and was 8-of-12 overall from the field. Iverson, playing again with a broken left toe, shot 9-for-23, but did add six rebounds and four steals. Iverson also dished out four assists, including one to Matt Geiger for a fast-break dunk 1:18 before halftime. Theo Ratliff had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia, which did not trail after the first quarter. Washington did close within four at the break, 47-43, with five straight points from rookie Richard Hamilton, who led the Wizards with 19 points. The 76ers answered with a 7-0 run in the third quarter. Kukoc threw a crosscourt pass to Iverson, who launched a 20-foot baseline jumper with 3:34 to go in the quarter. Kukoc then gave the 76ers a 68-56 edge with a 3-pointer from the right wing. Philadelphia took its biggest lead of the night, 93-77, on a Kukoc 3-pointer as the shot clock expired. The Wizards turned the ball over 22 times, to the 76ers' 13, none in the third quarter. Washington's Juwan Howard had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Aaron Williams added 12 points. The 76ers went on a 13-2 run early in the first quarter, keyed by three straight baskets by Tyrone Hill, who finished with 17 points and nine rebounds.
