The Rockets led 32-19 at the end of the opening quarter and stretched its lead to as many as 29 points in the second period. Houston led 64-39 at the half. That lead reached 32 points in the third quarter before Golden State put on a modest rally to close it to 23 twice. He later received stitches and did not return. ... Donyell Marshall left the game at the end of the third quarter after being hit in the nose. ... Steve Francis is on track to become only the seventh rookie in NBA history to average 15 points, five rebounds and five assists a game. The others were Oscar Robertson, Alvan Adams, Magic Johnson, Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill. ... Marshall is the first Warrior to average a double-double in points and rebounds (14.2/10.0) since current Houston assistant Larry Smith did it in 1984-85.
