VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Pat Garrity hit a 3-point shot with 13.5 seconds left as the Orlando Magic snapped an eight-game losing streak by beating the Vancouver Grizzlies 85-82 Saturday. Tariq Abdul-Wahad and Chucky Atkins scored 16 points each as the Magic won for only the second time in 15 games _ both wins coming against the Grizzlies. Ben Wallace had nine points and 11 rebounds, and secured the victory by blocking Shareef Abdur-Rahim's 3-point attempt at the buzzer. Orlando, now 7-1 all-time against the Grizzlies, has defeated Vancouver in six straight meetings, including a 116-96 win earlier this month in Orlando. Abdur-Rahim led the Grizzlies with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Othella Harrington and Michael Dickerson also had 16 points. Vancouver has now lost five straight overall and seven in a row at home. The Grizzlies overcame a 79-70 deficit, cutting Orlando's lead to 81-80 on Abdur-Rahim's eight-foot jumper with 52.6 seconds left. Orlando responded on its next possession when Darrell Armstong fed a wide-open Garrity, who sank a 25-footer. After a layup by Dickerson, Armstrong hit one of two free throws to put Orlando up 85-82 with 3.6 seconds left. Atkins, who averages just 8.3 points per game, scored all 16 of his points in a seven-minute span in the second quarter. Orlando scored on each of Vancouver's 11 first-half turnovers. Vancouver eventually committed 24 turnovers, which led to 37 Orlando points. Notes: Abdur-Rahim hit the 1,500th free throw of his four-year career, going 6-for-8 from the line for the game. ... On Friday, Grizzlies forward Othella Harrington went public with his dislike of the weather in Vancouver and noted that it was "a sad day in Vancouver" when word came that prospective owner Bill Laurie backed out of his bid to purchase the Grizzlies and move them to St. Louis. "I was hoping for a move," Harrington said. ... Magic forward Monty Williams, activated Friday after sitting out since Jan. 12 with a lower back contusion, went 0-for-4 in 12 minutes. Swingman Anthony Parker was waived to make room for Williams.
