Here's a rundown of what I've had to say about Minnesota DE KARON RILEY since the beginning of the college-football season.
Nov. 8
Since his impressive start to the 2000 season, Riley hasn't been able to take over games the last three weeks, needing to show more series-to-series consistency. Against Wisconsin last week, Riley totalled four stops, a sack and three QB hurries.

Flashes dominating ability, but needs to be more consistent in terms of his overall performance on a week-to-week basis. Against Northwestern, Riley finished with five tackles, two stops behind the line, one pass breakup, and a sack.
Oct. 26
Last week, Indiana effectively ran the option away from Riley, presenting all kinds of problems for the Golden Gopher defense. Riley finished with six tackles, two stops behind the line and one sack which caused a fumble that was recovered by Minnesota. He also came away with his first career interception. On a game-to-game and even a series-to-series basis, Riley still has to keep the motor running hard at all times.

Riley came to the Golden Gophers in '98 (sat out that season) after two years at SMU. Riley, who I have raved about all year, continues to strike fear in the hearts of enemy signal callers. Versus the Illini, he recorded one stop behind the line, one sack, and four QB hurries.
