Book on WR Freddie Mitchell

Here's a rundown of what I've had to say about UCLA WR FREDDIE MITCHELL since the beginning of the college-football season.

Freddie Mitchell is a constant big-play threat.
March 21
Has done all the right things since he decided to leave the Bruins with another year of eligibility still remaining.

Feb. 28
At 5-foot-11¼ and 185 pounds, Mitchell came through with an exceptional effort at the combine. Now we can refer to him as Fast Freddie Mitchell. He ran in the 4.43 range and was on top of his game during the positional drills. To say he's on the rise is an understatement.

Feb. 7
This kid loves the game and consistently manages to back up all the talk with superior performances on game day. When the ball is in the air, he'll go get it. In the end, though, Mitchell's 40 time will be the critical factor in determining if he's a mid-first round draft choice or slides a little further down the board than his productivity and overall performance at UCLA tends to indicate.

Oct. 1
Fourth-year junior wideout Freddie Mitchell continues to remind me a great deal of Peter Warrick. The athletically gifted and extremely polished 5-foot-11, 188-pounder has enjoyed a brilliant campaign thus far. Against the Sun Devils, Mitchell hauled in four receptions for 125 yards and two TDs.
