Here's a rundown of what I've had to say about Arizona State TE TODD HEAP since the beginning of the college-football season.
March 21
Not many teams in the top 20 or so are looking closely at a TE as their major priority, which is why Heap could slide down a little further than my rating indicates, despite his impressive talent.

Checked in at 252 pounds in Indy, with his individual workout set to take place on March 9 at Arizona State. Heap is such a factor in the pass offense that his impact in the NFL could easily be viewed in the same regard as what Tony Gonzalez has meant to the Chiefs.

Now in the 250-pound range, he has the ability to develop into a huge weapon in the pass offense while also getting the job done as an in-line blocker.

Good height at 6-foot-4 and uses his athleticism to make spectacular catches regularly. He can stretch the deep middle and cause major matchup problems for defenses. Needs to concentrate on making more of the routine catches.

Has a true passion for the game and will do what it takes to become an outstanding player in addition to having very good physical skills. He studies film of NFL receivers and will attend Cris Carter's speed camp this summer. He is also an excellent down-field blocker
