AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Only one hole has been easier than the par-5 15th at The Masters this year. Only three were easier on Saturday.

Just don't tell that to Chris DiMarco. Or Angel Cabrera. Or Phil Mickelson, Mark Calcavecchia and Ernie Els, for that matter.

The 15th wasn't kind to any of them.

It was to Tiger Woods, who took his third straight birdie on the 15th at this year's Masters. That put him at 12-under for the tournament and gave him what turned out to be a one-shot advantage over Mickelson heading into the final round on Sunday.

Woods and David Duval were the only players in the top seven to take advantage of the 15th, which has yielded 86 birdies in three days and gave up two eagles and 16 birdies on Saturday. Woods, who has dominated the hole in his career at Augusta National, got down in two from behind the green after hitting his second shot there.

Cabrera imploded, hitting his second shot in the pond fronting the green and taking four to get down from his drop.

"Ten yards or less and it would have been perfect," he said through an interpreter.

DiMarco hit his third shot over the green and couldn't get up-and-down.

"I hit a really good putt and I just misread it," DiMarco said. "I played it straight and it went right on me."

Els eagled the hole Thursday. Calcavecchia had bogeyed the hole twice. Mickelson had birdied the hole the first two days. All settled for par on Saturday.

"(Woods) birdied 13, 14 and 15," said DiMarco. "I played them in 1-over. That's the difference."
