Keep an eye on Kirk Haston of the Hoosiers when Kentucky plays Indiana on Friday (9 p.m. ET, ESPN). He has something to prove after scoring just four points in last year's meeting.

Indiana coach Mike Davis has experimented with a three-guard lineup, with Haston coming off the bench. It isn't every day that your top scorer and rebounder isn't a starter!

The 6-foot-10 Haston is an inside player who can also shoot the jump shot from the baseline or play with his back to the basket. He provides much-needed offense from the interior.

Against the Wildcats, he will have to deal with a youthful frontcourt. Experience could be a factor in Haston's favor.

Kentucky is a dangerous opponent that has faced a rugged schedule. Heartbreaking losses to St. John's, UCLA, Georgia Tech and Michigan State have hurt. Tubby Smith's team showed its ability at North Carolina. The Wildcats can certainly defend, as shown against Tom Izzo's Spartans.

Haston has the ability and talent to be a big-time scorer in this matchup. For Indiana to win, he must provide that winning edge on the interior.
