PALERMO, Sicily -- Russian teenager Dinara Safina beat Katarina Srebotnik 6-3, 6-4 Sunday in the final of the Palermo International.

The ninth-seeded Safina, the 17-year-old sister of Russian star Marat Safin, earned her second WTA title. Last year, she won the Polish Open to become the WTA Tour's youngest champion.

Srebotnik, who has two career WTA titles, fought off three match points before falling Safina.

Italy's Adriana Serra Zanetti and Emily Stellato, a wild card entry, won the doubles title, beating Spain's Maria Jose Martinez and Arantxa Parra 6-4, 6-2.
