Elber's license suspended four weeks

[Reuters]

MUNICH, Germany -- Bayern Munich's Brazilian striker Elber will not be fined by the German club despite a drunk driving offense.

Elber had his driving license withdrawn for four weeks after being caught by police with a blood alcohol level of 0.5 grams per liter.

"Do you know what 0.5 is?," Bayern Munich limited company chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters on Saturday when asked whether Elber faced a fine.

"Everybody in this stadium has that," added Rummenigge, who was speaking after his side's 4-1 win over VfL Bochum in which Elber, now the Bundesliga's leading scorer with eight goals, struck twice.
