TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Peter Vermes and Miklos Molnar scored second-half goals as the Kansas City Wizards beat Tampa Bay 2-1 on Saturday to remain Major League Soccer's only undefeated team.

Kansas City's Tony Meola had his MLS-record scoreless streak stopped at 681 minutes when Mamadou Diallo scored in the 66th minute. Still the goalkeeper robbed the Tampa Bay forward two other times as the Wizards improved to 10-0-2.

The 12-game unbeaten streak is tied for the second longest in league history. Los Angeles had a 15-game streak in 1998 and a 12-game run in 1996.

Vermes opened the scoring in the 63rd minute. Molnar's eighth goal -- coming on a bicycle kick -- made it 2-0 a minute later.

After Diallo's goal in the 66th minute, a scrum broke out in front of -- and partly in -- the Kansas City goal. Diallo, who received a yellow card, and Meola tussled briefly before order was restored.

Diallo, who has seven goals in the past four games, was stopped on a point-blank chance by Meola 25 minutes into the game and sent a penalty kick wide right during first half injury time.

The Mutiny (6-6) had their six-game home winning streak snapped.
