Hartman shuts out fifth opponent

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Kevin Hartman made 10 saves as Los Angeles tied San Jose 0-0 on Wednesday night, extending the Galaxy's season-opening undefeated streak to 10 games.

Hartman has five shutouts this season for the Galaxy (5-0-5).

He made a diving save on Jimmy Conrad's shot from the top of the penalty area in the first half, and smothered Abdul Thompson Conteh's close-range attempt in the 83rd minute.

San Jose's Jon Conway made seven saves in his first Major League Soccer appearance. The Earthquakes are 2-5-3.

A crowd of 12,692 attended the game at Spartan Stadium.
