Sunday, August 18 Carmichael scores a perfect 10 Associated Press MILLVILLE, Minn. -- Ricky Carmichael raced to his 10th victory in 10 races this season Sunday to clinch his third straight AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championship. ''It's really a great feeling to win another championship,'' the 22-year-old Honda rider said. ''I never dreamed when I started racing that I would be fortunate enough to be this successful. ''I've been concentrating so much on winning races that I really haven't had a chance to sit back and enjoy some of the records I've broken this year. Now I can really have fun at the final two races, even though I'd really love to finish out the season undefeated.'' Yamaha's Tim Ferry finished second, and Ezra Lusk of Team Kawasaki was third at Spring Creek Motocross Park. James Stewart, the 16-year-old rookie from Haines City, Fla., won the 125cc division on a Kawasaki. It was his eighth win of the year and extends his series leader over Australian Chad Reed, who was second Sunday.
