2002 recap
The good: Scored victories at Vancouver, Montreal and England, plus a second at Monterrey and three more podiums. Also captured pole at Chicago.
Season highlight: Led 43 laps and bested series champ Cristiano da Matta in CART's debut at Montreal.
The bad: Posted seven DNFs in 19 starts.
Season lowlight: Leading season finale at Mexico City but overshot pits on final stop and wound up fifth.

The 29-year-old road racer was pursued by CART but opted to stay with Andretti/Green Racing and join IRL to team with Tony Kanaan and Michael Andretti.
