Top 150 quarterback Chase Patton of Columbia-Rock Bridge, Mo., has chosen the Missouri Tigers over Kansas State, Iowa, Tennessee, UCLA and Virginia.
The Tigers also added defensive back Quincy Butler of San Antonio-Roosevelt, Tex/Tyler CC, Tex., over Tennessee, Texas A&M, TCU, Iowa, Kansas and Syracuse, among others; defensive lineman Stryker Sulak of Rockdale, Tex; and linebacker Arthur Miller of Kirkwood, Mo.
The USC Trojans added a pledge from Top 150 receiver Michael Bumpus of Culver City, Cal., over Washington State, Arizona State, Washington, LSU, Oregon and Oregon State, among others. The Trojans recently gained defensive back Josh Pinkard of Oxnard-Hueneme, Cal., over Washington State, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
Miami-Florida has a pledge from Top 150 linebacker Josh Johnson of Stone Mountain-Stephenson, Ga., over Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn and Florida State.
Top 150 running back Peyton Hillis of Conway, Ark., has chosen Arkansas over Oklahoma, Nebraska, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee, among many others. He rushed for 2631 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior.

The Iowa Hawkeyes have pledges from defensive back Walner Belleus of Immokalee, Fla/Dodge City CC, Kan., over Illinois, Arizona State and South Florida; and running back Shonn Green of Atco-Winslow Township, NJ., over Clemson, Syracuse, Rutgers, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Illinois gained linebacker Sam Carson of Downers Grove-South, Ill., over Indiana, Michigan State, Louisville and Northwestern; and defensive lineman Jeff Sobol of Herculaneum, Mo.

Defensive lineman Nii Adjei Oninku of Clayton-Northmont, Ohio, who recently committed to Michigan State, is no longer a Spartan verbal and is considering Louisville and Kentucky. Kansas has commitments from defensive back Aqib Talib of Richardson-Berkner, Tex; linebacker Mozell Axson of Lakeland-Jenkins, Fla; and receiver Dexton Fields of Dallas-South Oak Cliff, Tex.
Texas A&M has a commitment from linebacker/running back Kedric Goins of Freeport-Brazosport, Tex., over Northwestern and Iowa State. Dustin Long, a Texas A&M junior quarterback from Port Neches-Groves, Tex., will transfer to Sam Houston State. Long started nine games in 2002 and passed for 2509 yards and 19 touchdowns. New coach Dennis Franchione replaced him in the starting lineup this season with sophomore Reggie McNeal and the Aggies finished with a 4-8 record. Long played in all 12 games during 2003, passing for 709 yards and four touchdowns. His only start came in the season finale against Texas.
