Touted running back Jacob Hester of Shreveport-Evangel, La., has decommitted from Texas and is considering LSU and Miami-Florida, among others.

The Missouri Tigers have gained defensive back Quincy Butler of San Antonio-Roosevelt, Tex/Tyler CC, Tex., over Tennessee, Texas A&M, TCU, Iowa, Kansas and Syracuse, among others. The Tigers recently added offensive lineman Aaron Saunders of San Antonio-Jay, Tex., over Baylor, Kansas, Colorado and Purdue; and receiver Jerrill Humphrey of Ewing-Highland, Mo., over Iowa and Kansas State.

Defensive back Dwain Crawford of Giddings, Tex., picked Baylor. The Bears recently gained quarterback Dane King of Gonzales, Tex/Blinn CC, Tex., over interest in SMU, Kansas, Hawaii and Louisiana Tech. He passed for 2797 yards and 27 touchdowns during the 2003 season.
