Once expected to wait until the Spring Period, Top 100 guard Kyle Lowry of Philadelphia-Cardinal Dougherty, Pa., has signed with Villanova over Arkansas.
Mississippi State signed guard Jamall Edmondson of Montgomery-Jeff Davis, Ala/Meridian CC, Miss., who averaged 25.4 points last season.
Guard Joe Posey of Middleburg-Notre Dame Academy, Va., signed with James Madison.
Forward Mike Smith of Jacksonville, Ark., picked Arkansas State.
Northwestern signed guard Sterling Williams of Chicago-Young, Ill.
