The Florida Gators have pledged Top 150 running back Markus Manson of Tuscaloosa-Hillcrest, Ala., over Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan State, Arkansas, South Carolina, Colorado, LSU, Clemson and Mississippi State, among many others. Offensive lineman Ramon Foster of Henning-Ripley, Tenn., has chosen Tennessee over Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisville. Among others were Michigan State, Memphis, Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State. North Carolina State picked up a pledge from defensive lineman Gerard Miller of Vanceboro-West Craven, NC., over Florida State. Among many others were Clemson, Maryland, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Tennessee. Georgia Tech pledged quarterback Taylor Bennett of Ballwin-Lafayette, Mo., over Boise State. Kansas pledged quarterback/receiver Marcus Herford of Cedar Hill, Tex., over offers from Iowa State and Houston; and offensive lineman Ryan Cantrell of Sugar Land-Clements, Tex., over interest from Houston and UTEP. Houston pledged receiver Sylvester Walker of Cedar Hill, Tex. Defensive lineman Lance Latkiewicz of Allen Park, Mich., pledged to Bowling Green over Toledo and Western Michigan. Toledo gained a commitment from receiver Trumaine Smith of Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Defensive back Vince Hicks of Southfield, Mich., committed to Central Michigan. Tight end Dave DiFranco of Grafton-Midview, Ohio, picked Miami-Ohio over Bowling Green, Toledo, Akron and Ohio. Stanford has a commitment from running back Ray Jones of Gahanna-Columbus Academy, Ohio, over Boston College, among others.
