Super Prospect forward Andrew Brackman of Cincinnati-Moeller, Ohio, has committed to North Carolina State over Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt, among others. A two-sport standout, Brackman averaged 16 points and 6.5 rebounds as a junior, while going 6-1 with 63 strikeouts in 47 innings as a pitcher. Huge center Aaron Agnew of Bellaire, Ohio, picked the Iowa State Cyclones over Duquesne and Southern California. Kansas State has a commitment from guard Clent Stewart of Tulsa-Union, Okla., over Vanderbilt, Stanford and Tulsa. Top 100 forward Rudy Gay of Severn-Archbishop Spalding, Md., is expected to announce on Monday (Nov. 3) between Maryland and UConn. Top 100 guard Albert Weber of Durham-Mt. Zion Academy, NC., who had committed to Alabama, has reopened his recruiting. He is now also considering UConn, Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Winthrop gained center Jason Kileen of Ireland/Notre Dame Academy, Va. Liberty gained guard Evan Risher of Fort Worth-North Crowley, Tex. Lamar has a commitment from forward Durand Murray of Stone Mountain-Redan, Ga. Center Michael Adams of Jacksonvile-Randoph, Fla/Western Nebraska CC, Neb/Indian Hills CC, Ia., is set for Youngstown State. Missouri-Kansas City has a commitment from center/forward Jeremiah Hartsock of Bartlesville, Okla., over interest in BYU and Oral Roberts. Fairfield has a commitment from center/forward Geoff Middleton of Maplewood-Columbia, NJ., over Marist. Mt. St. Mary's has a commitment from forward Markus Mitchell of Virginia Beach-Salem, Va.
