One of the nation's top guards, Sebastian Telfair of Brooklyn-Lincoln, NY., has announced for Louisville and coach Rick Pitino over interest in the NBA Draft. Among many others were North Carolina, Syracuse, UConn, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Providence, Seton Hall and St. John's. The Cardinals recently gained Top 100 forward Brian Johnson of Oak Hill Academy, Va., over Arizona, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina and Notre Dame, among others. Eastern Washington gained guard James Loe of Hillsboro, Ore., over UCSB, Portland and Portland State. Drexel pledged forward Frank Elegar of Brooklyn-St. Raymond's, NY. UTEP has a commitment from forward Ivan Almonte of Southeastern CC, Iowa. Eighty prospects on the early Class 2004 Top 100 have already made commitments. List of remaining Top 100 Prospects.
