Alabama has commitments from tight ends Nick Walker of Brundidge-Pike County, Ala., over UAB, Louisville, Southern Mississippi and West Virginia; and Trent Davidson of Brewton-T.R. Miller, Ala., over Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Mississippi State and South Carolina.
Touted Class 2004 receiver Carl Grimes of Detroit-DePorres, Mich., has decommitted from Michigan State and is expected to play for Florida State.
Class 2004 quarterback Mike Maciejowski of Upper Arlington, Ohio, committed to the Minnesota Gophers over Akron. He is the son of former Ohio State quarterback Ron Maciejowski.
Rutgers has a commitment from Class 2004 running back Dimitri Linton of Oakland Park-Northeast, Fla., over Duke, Wake Forest, Army and Air Force.
Class 2004 quarterback/athlete Mack Breed of San Antonio-Jay, Tex., has chosen Missouri over Colorado, Texas A&M and Utah.
Miami-Ohio pledged defensive back Cameron Mason of Indianapolis-Ben Davis, Ind; and receiver Dave Koval of Poland-Poland Seminary, Ohio. The RedHawks recently gained running back Jimmy Calhoun of Middletown, Ohio.
Northwestern has a commitment from Class 2004 linebacker Regaie Johnson of LaMarque, Tex. The Wildcats recently gained receiver/defensive back Jeff Yarbrough of Richton Park-Rich South, Ill.
