Top 100 forward Dayshawn Wright, a Class 2004 prospect from Syracuse-Fowler, NY/Oak Hill Academy, Va., has committed to Syracuse over interest in Arizona, Seton Hall, Villanova, Pittsburgh and Georgia. The Orangemen recently gained guard Josh Wright, a Top 100 prospect from Utica-Proctor, NY., over UConn, Pittsburgh, Boston College and Seton Hall.
Class 2004 center/forward Joseph Jones of Normangee, Tex., has committed to Texas A&M over interest in Kansas and Houston.
Class 2004 forward Roy Bright, a Top 100 prospect from Durham-Mt. Zion Academy, NC., is expected to announce on Thursday (Sept. 25) between Iowa State and Tennessee.
Class 2004 guard Carlton Reed of Waterloo-East, Ia., is near a decision between Iowa, Kansas State, Illinois State and Creighton.
Eastern Washington has a verbal from Class 2004 forward Jake Beitinger of Port Orchard-South Kitsap, Wash. The Eagles recently gained guard Nick Livi of Redmond-Eastlake, Wash., who averaged 18.1 points as a junior.
Cleveland State pledged Class 2004 guard Michael Redell of Rockford, Mich.
George Mason has Class 2004 forward William Thomas of Baltimore-Mt. St. Joseph's, Md.
Albany pledged Class 2004 guard David Bauman of Freeport, Pa.
Texas-San Antonio has a pledge from Class 2004 guard Roderick Rodgers of Dallas-Lincoln, Tex.
Austin Peay pledged Class 2004 guard Brandon Burney of Cunningham-Mongomery, Tenn.
