Top 100 forward Shaun Pruitt, a Class 2004 prospect from Aurora-West Aurora, Ill., has committed to Illinois over Michigan State. Class 2004 Top 100 forward Al Horford of Grand Ledge, Mich., has chosen the Michigan Wolverines. He was also being recruited by UCLA, Michigan State, Kansas, Ohio State and Florida, among many others. His father, Tito Horford, played in the NBA. Syracuse has a verbal from Class 2004 guard Josh Wright, a Top 100 prospect from Utica-Proctor, NY., over UConn, Pittsburgh, Boston College and Seton Hall. One of the top prospects in Class 2005, forward Josh McRoberts (6-9 215) of Carmel, Ind., has picked Duke over Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina and Notre Dame. McRoberts, who averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds as a sophomore, was also recruited by Iowa, Michigan, Purdue and Xavier, among many others. Duke had earlier gained Class 2005 top guard Greg Paulus of Manlius-Christian Brothers Academy, NY. More Basketball News Guard/forward Courtney Lee, a Class 2004 prospect from Indianapolis-Pike, Ind., has chosen Western Kentucky. Lee picked the Hilltoppers over Bradley, Illinois State, Illinois and Northern Illinois. Eastern Michigan has a verbal from Class 2004 guard Rico Harris of Detroit-Denby, Mich. Central Michigan pledged Class 2004 center Drew Walker of Port Clinton, Ohio. Western Michigan added Class 2004 guard Bryan Moten of Saginaw-Arthur Hill, Mich. The Broncos recently gained forwards Joe Reitz of Fishers-Hamilton Southeastern, Ind; and Dan Hess of Corunna, Mich. Kent State has a verbal from Class 2004 forward Michael Scott of Indianapolis-Northwest, Ind. Eastern Washington has a commitment from Class 2004 guard Nick Livi of Redmond-Eastlake, Wash., who averaged 18.1 points as a junior. Sixty-six prospects on the early Class 2004 Top 100 have already made commitments. Texas, Indiana and Alabama lead the very early 2004 Top Classes. Florida State led the 2003 Top Classes.
