Oklahoma State has pledged touted Class 2004 guard Jamaal Brown of Chicago-Westinghouse, Ill/Utah Valley CC, Utah/Dixie CC, Utah. Class 2003 center Julius Lamptey of Oklahoma City-Northeast, Okla/New Hampton Prep, NH., will attempt to qualify and play for the Cowboys. He did not qualify for Arkansas in Class 2003 and Georgia in Class 2002. Washington State has a commitment from Class 2004 forward Robbie Cowgill of Round Rock-Westwood, Tex., over SMU and South Alabama, among others. St. Joseph's pledged Class 2004 forward Pat Calathes of Winter Park-Lake Howell, Fla., over Northwestern, Providence, George Washington, Creighton and Charlotte, among others. Class 2004 Top 100 forward Shaun Pruitt of Aurora-West Aurora, Ill., is near a decision between Illinois and Michigan State. Class 2004 center/forward Matt Hagen of Pekin, Ill., picked Rice over Utah and Northern Illinois. Akron has pledged Class 2004 guard Adam Walther of Cincinnati-Moeller, Ohio. Sixty prospects on the early Class 2004 Top 100 have already made commitments. Texas, Indiana and Alabama lead the very early 2004 Top Classes. Florida State led the 2003 Top Classes.
