Dayton has pledged promising Class 2004 guard Trent Meacham of Champaign-Centennial, Ill., who averaged 17 points as a junior. The Flyers recently gained forward Jimmy Binnie of Johnston, Iowa.
Wyoming has signed guard Steve Leven of Airds, New South Wales, Australia/Laurinburg Institute, NC., for this fall. Leven signed with Auburn in Class 2002 and then transfered to Texas. He will redshirt this season and have three years remaining.
Forward Elgrace Wilborn of Springfield-South, Ohio, has transfered from Tennessee to Western Kentucky. Wilborn, who had recently indicated a desire to play for Nebraska, was dismissed by the Vols after breaking the jaw of teammate Brandon Crump. Wilborn, who averaged 2.9 points and 4.7 rebounds last year as a sophomore, must sit out 2003-04 and will have two seasons remaining.
Cal State-Fullerton has signed three Class 2003 prospects, including guard Jermaine Harper of Gardena, Cal/Dyke-Blue Ridge, Va., who transfered from Virginia; forward Yaphett King of Redlands CC, Okla; and guard Bobby Brown of Los Angeles-Westchester, Cal.
Northern Illinois has a commitment from Class 2004 forward Frank Clair of Chicago-Leo, Ill.
Mount St. Mary's has a commitment from Class 2004 forward Joe Gates of Arcata, Cal.
Wright State pledged Class 2004 forward Jordan Pleiman of Fort Loramie, Ohio, over Bowling Green and Central Michigan.
Sixty prospects on the early Class 2004 Top 100 have already made commitments.
