Alabama has pledged Class 2004 Top 150 receiver Nikita Stover of Hartselle, Ala., over offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson, LSU, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Mississippi, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. He caught 26 passes for 723 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.

Top 150 quarterback Chad Henne, a Class 2004 prospect from West Lawn-Wilson, Pa., is expected to decide on Thursday (Aug. 7) between Michigan (expected), Penn State and Miami-Florida. Henne, who also considered Georgia and Tennessee, among many others, passed for 2093 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior.

Kentucky has signed Class 2003 defensive back/receiver Andre Jones of Fort Walton Beach-Choctawhatchee, Fla., for this fall. He had picked the Wildcats in Class 2002, but delayed entrance.

Toledo pledged Class 2004 offensive/defensive lineman Patrick Dawson of Greensburg-Greensburg Central Catholic, Pa., over offers from Kent State and Louisiana Tech.

The Beavers recently gained Class 2004 quarterback Michael Perri of Covina-Charter Oak, Cal., over offers from Arizona and UNLV; and receiver Zach Tarver of Portland-Jesuit, Ore. Oregon State also signed Class 2003 defensive back/running back Eric Anderson of Phoenix-Camelback, Ariz., for this fall.
