The Georgia Bulldogs have a commitment from Class 2004 quarterback Blake Barnes, a Top 150 prospect from Baldwyn, Miss., over offers from Michigan, Auburn, Mississippi and Mississippi State. He passed for 2438 yards and 37 touchdowns as a junior.

Georgia, whose four commitments are all Top 150 prospects, recently gained outstanding running back Thomas Brown of Tucker, Ga., over Auburn, Maryland, FSU, LSU, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Arkansas, Arizona State, North Carolina, Penn State and Virginia, among many others.

Purdue pledged Class 2004 linebacker Luis Vasquez of Gales Ferry-Ledyard, Conn.

Indiana has a commitment from Class 2004 defensive back Brandon Alexander of Warren-Howland, Ohio.

Northwestern pledged Class 2004 receiver Ross Lane of Fort Myers-Bishop Verot, Fla.

Baylor added Class 2003 quarterback Austin Adams of Henderson, Tex., who had been considering playing baseball at TCU.

Auburn pledged Class 2004 defensive back Darius McClure of Adamsville-Minor, Ala. The Tigers recently gained receiver James Swinton of Tucker, Ga., over interest from Georgia, South Carolina, Louisville, Cincinnati and Marshall.

Mississippi State has a Class 2004 commitment from offensive/defensive lineman Brandon Nix of Harpersville-Coosa Valley Academy, Ala. The Bulldogs recently gained defensive back Fred Akines of Clarksdale, Miss.

Kentucky added Class 2003 running back Joe Razzano of Milford, Ohio, who had signed with Virginia Tech, but was released.
