Top 100 forward Charles Rhodes, a Class 2004 prospect
from Jackson-Lanier, Miss., has committed to
Mississippi State over interest in
Alabama, Arkansas, UConn and Oklahoma, among others.
Class 2004 guard Brent Hackett of Fort Worth-Southwest,
Tex., has committed to
TCU. He averaged 26.5 points as a
junior.
Class 2004 guard Curtis Allen of Palos Verdes-Rolling
Hills Prep, Cal., who recently decommitted from the USC Trojans, has drawn
interest from California, Oklahoma State, Washington, Louisville, Marquette,
Syracuse and Arizona State.
Loyola Marymount has signed two Class
2003 prospects, including forward Matthew Knight of Burnie, Tasmania,
Australia; and guard Damian Martin of Gloucester, NSW,
Australia.
Saint Mary's has signed Class 2003
guard E.J. Rowland of Hartnell CC, Cal.
Three St. John's players have made transfer decisions, including
sophomore forward Eric King of Brooklyn-Lincoln,
NY., who started 35 games over two seasons for St. John's, to Tennessee State; freshman guard/forward
Tim Doyle of Merrick-St.
Dominic's, NY., to Northwestern and sophomore guard Tristan Smith of Amityville,
NY., to St. Francis-NY.
Sophomore center Simplice Njoya of
Cameroon/Dobbs Ferry-The Masters School, NY., has transfered from Duquesne
to Memphis.
Bucknell has added four Class 2003
prospects, including forward John Clark of Tulsa-Cascia Prep,
Okla; forward Donald Brown of Central Islip-St.
John Baptist, NY/Oakdale-St. Thomas More, Conn; center Chris McNaughton of Leuterhauseon,
Germany; and guard Ibrahim Badmus of Niles-Notre Dame
School for Boys, Ill.
Top 100 forward Kris Humphries, a Class 2003
prospect from Minnetonka-Hopkins, Minn., who received a release from his
signed letter to Duke, has met with Minnesota coach Dan Monson and visited
both Indiana and Iowa State. Humphries, who has made an appeal to gain
eligibility for next season following his release, averaged 25.5 points, 12
rebounds, five assists, five steals and 2.5 blocks as a senior. Humphries
was named Mr. Basketball in Minnesota and to the Parade and McDonald's All
American teams.
Florida State leads the 2003 Top
Classes. Due to late signings and entries in the NBA Draft, final
rankings will be determined in late June.

the first round. The NBA passed on three other high school/prep school
