Missouri has pledged Class 2004 defensive back Steve Redmond of Kansas City-Rockhurst, Mo., over an offer from Michigan State and interest from Kansas State.
Class 2004 receiver Fred Strong of Austin, Tex., has committed to Oklahoma over offers from Colorado, Oklahoma State and TCU.
Clemson pledged Class 2004 offensive lineman Bobby Hutchinson of Crawfordville/Madison-Madison County, Fla., over an offer from Syracuse.
Washington State has signed two Class 2003 prospects for this fall, including defensive back Omowale Dada of Orland Park-Carl Sandburg, Ill/Eastern Illinois/Saddleback CC, Cal., and receiver Tramaine Murray of Oxnard, Cal/Ventura CC, Cal.
The Iowa Hawkeyes have added redshirt-freshman running back Marques Simmons of Davenport-North, Ia., who is transfering from Nebraska. He played in five games and rushed for 56 yards as a Husker last season.
Minnesota gained a pledge from Class 2004 quarterback John Carlson of Minnetonka-Hopkins, Minn.
