Georgia has signed Class 2003 forward Marcus Sikes of Petersburg-Notre Dame Academy, Va.
The Maryland Terps have a commitment from Top 100 Class 2004 forward James Gist of Wheaton-Good Counsel, Md., over interest in Providence, Virginia, Tennessee and Georgetown.
Oklahoma has signed Class 2003 guard Jimmy Tobias of Fort Lauderdale-Dillard, Fla., who averaged 19 points as a senior.
Western Kentucky gained Class 2003 forward Ryan Lambert of Hargrove MA, Va., over interest in Duquesne, Virginia Commonwealth and St. Bonaventure.
Sophomore guard Mike Gansey of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, is transfering from St. Bonaventure to West Virginia. St. Bonaventure was recently charged with NCAA academic violations.
Vanderbilt pledged Class 2003 guard Dan Cage of Indianapolis-Bishop Chatard, Ind., who was released from his signed letter by St. Bonaventure following a coaching change.
Class 2003 center Lukasz Obrzut of Poland/Bridgton Academy, Maine, is near a decision between Kentucky, East Carolina and Utah. He earlier decommitted from Fordham following the coaching change.
Sophomore forward Ed Nelson of Fort Lauderdale-St. Thomas Aquinas, Fla., who is transfering from Georgia Tech, is considering UConn, Boston College and UMass.
Top 100 Class 2003 center Darryl Watkins of Paterson-Paterson Catholic, NJ., is near a decision between Rutgers, Syracuse and Seton Hall. North Carolina, Kentucky and Villanova had shown interest.
Class 2003 Top 100 forward Alexander Johnson of Albany-Dougherty, Ga/Bridgton Academy, Maine, is nearing a decision between Florida State, Cincinnati and UConn. He averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds last season.
Class 2003 Top 100 forward Mohamed Abukar of Escondido-Rancho Bernardo, Cal., is considering Kentucky and Florida. Abukar, who earlier decommitted from Georgia, had also considered Louisville, Missouri and UCLA, among others.
Alabama has a commitment from Top 100 Class 2004 guard Ron Steele of Birmingham-John Carroll, Ala., over Auburn and Vanderbilt. Among many others were Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Indiana and UAB.
Ohio signed Class 2003 guard Diamond Gladney of St. Louis-Cleveland, Mo/Ranger CC, Tex.
Class 2003 guard Stewart Graddick of Brooklyn-Lincoln, NY., chose Fairleigh Dickinson.
Weber State added Class 2003 center Adonal Arrington of Clackamas, Okla. Class 2003 guard Gerard Barrett of Middleburg-Notre Dame Academy, Va., chose Columbia.
Baylor signed Class 2003 guard Carl Marshall of Chicago-Crane, Ill.
Class 2003 guard Bradley Mosley of West Palm Beach, Fla/Daytona Beach CC, Fla., has signed with South Florida. USF recently gained Class 2003 guard James Holmes of Schoolcraft CC, Mich., and released guard Ricardo Freeman of Seward CC, Kan., from his letter.
Alabama-Birmingham has signed two Class 2003 forwards in Earnest Little of Monroeville-Monroe County, Ala; and Marques Lewis of Milwaukee-Bradley Tech, Wis/Wabash Valley CC, Ill.
Cornell has signed four Class 2003 prospects, including guard Graham Dow of Burlington-Nelson Lords, Ontario; forward Jason Mitchell of Saluda, SC; forward Dane Williams of Columbus, Ga; and center Andrew Naeve of Bryant-East Central, Ia. Forward Stevan Marcetic of Yugoslavia/Vaughn, Ontario, is transfering from Bradley.
Class 2003 guard Jake Sottos of Monmouth, Ill/Southeastern CC, Iowa, is expected to join Hawaii. Sottos, who was captain and the leading scorer for the national championship team, averaged 16.6 points last season.
Lafayette has signed three Class 2003 prospects, including guard Marcus Henry of Bryn Mawr-Harriton, Pa; forward Jamaal Douglas of Miami-Palmer Trinity, Fla; and guard Grant Gibson of Bloomington-South, Ind.
UNC-Wilmington has signed Class 2003 guards David Noel of Boynton Beach, Fla., and T.J. Carter of Morganza-Chopticon, Md.
Southwest Texas State has signed Class 2003 forward Andrew Lomond of Ontario, Canada.
University of San Diego has signed Class 2003 guard Charles Jennings of Arkansas City, Kan/Cowley CC, Kan/Seward County CC, Kan.
Quinnipiac signed Class 2003 forward Pierre Faye of Senegal/Trinity Valley CC, Tex.
Jacksonville has signed Class 2003 forward Woury Diallo of West Africa/Trinity Valley CC, Tex.
Western Illinois has signed Class 2003 guard T.J. Gray of Chicago-Julian, Ill.
