Missouri, Marquette get backcourt help

Class 2003 guard Randy Pulley of Raleigh-Word of God, NC/Saint Louis/Barton County CC, Kan., is headed to the Missouri Tigers.

Marquette has signed Class 2003 guard Carlton Christian of Orlando-Evans, Fla., who earlier decommitted from Central Florida.

Forward Ben Jacobson of Omaha-Central, Neb/Lamar/Iowa Western CC, Ia., signed with Tennessee Tech over Idaho State, New Mexico, Houston, Wichita State and Loyola of Chicago.

Stephen F. Austin signed two Class 2003 prospects in guard Patrick Hannaway of Colorado Springs-Doherty, Colo; and forward Henry Rivers of Jersey City, NJ/Southeast CC-Beatrice, Neb.

Duquesne has signed Class 2003 guard Martin Osimani of Montevideo, Uruguay/Miami-Champagnat, Fla/Utah/Miami Dade CC, Fla.

Central Florida signed Class 2003 guard Gary Johnson of Taylor, Mich/Schoolcraft CC, Mich.

Old Dominion signed three Class 2003 prospects in guard Brian Henderson of Richmond-Varina, Va; forward Amaud Dahi of Ivory Coast, Africa/Life Center Academy, NJ; and guard Abdi Lidonde of Sutton, Mass/Barrington-St. Andrew's, RI.

Santa Clara gained Class 2003 guard Doron Perkins of Anchorage, Alaska/Sothwestern Oregon CC, Ore.

Virginia Commonwealth gained Class 2003 guard B.A. Walker of Onley-Nandua, Va., over interest from Rutgers, Penn State and Old Dominion.

UNC-Wilmington signed two Class 2003 prospects in guard Ed Spencer of Missouri-KC/Butler County CC, Kan; and forward Dejan Grkovic of Hamilton-Sherwood, Ontario.

Class 2003:


Over 880 Class 2003 prospects have made commitments or signed scholarship papers. Signings and commitments by conferences. The early period ran Nov. 13-20 and the late period is Apr. 16-May 15.

Arizona, Duke, Maryland, Illinois and Kansas lead the Early 2003 Top Classes.

Remaining uncommitted Top 100 Prospects (6): C-Darryl Watkins; F-Linas Kleiza; G/F-LeBron James (probable NBA); C-James Lang (Decommitted Louisville/possible NBA). F-Mohamed Abukar (Released by Georgia): C-Shagari Alleyne (Decommited Rutgers).
