Class 2003 guard Marcus Neal of Annapolis, Md/Polk CC, Fla., pledged to Nebraska over Baylor, East Carolina, South Florida, and Florida International. He averaged 20.2 points and was named the Sun Coast Conference player of the year. Sophomore center Dan Heimos of Waterloo-Gibault, Ill., and freshman center Roy Enright of Omaha-Burke, Neb., asked for their releases from the Huskers.
Oregon State has signed Class 2003 forward Jim Hanchett of Peachtree City-McIntosh, Ga/Utah Valley CC, Utah, who averaged 15.4 points this past season. Sophomore guard Floyd North of San Diego-St. Augustine, Cal., is transferring from OSU.
Class 2003 forward Brandon Hayes of Port Arthur-Jefferson, Tex/Texas Tech/Lee CC, Tex., committed to Southern Mississippi.
Manhattan has a pledge from Class 2003 forward Obidiah Toppin of Brooklyn, NY/Globe Tech, NY.
St. Peter's has a pledge from Class 2003 forward Mark Curry of West Orange, NJ/Delware/Globe Tech, NY.
Class 2003 forward/center Hans Gasser of Issaquah, Wash., who averaged 21.6 points and 9.2 rebounds this season, committed to Washington over Eastern Washington.
Martin Osimani, a Class 2003 guard from Montevideo, Uruguay/Miami-Champagnat Catholic, Fla/Utah/Miami-Dade CC, Fla., has committed to Duquesne over interest from Texas A&M, UNC-Ashville, South Florida, Ball State, Rutgers and Nebraska.
Class 2003 forward Blake Schilb of Rantoul, Ill/Brewster Academy, NH., pledged to Loyola-Chicago. Among others were Bradley, Manhattan, Charleston, Toledo and USC.
Long Beach State has a pledge from Class 2003 guard Kevin Houston of San Bernardino-San Gorgonio, Cal.
Boise State gained Class 2003 guard Eric Lane of Bellflower-St. John Bosco, Cal.
UC-Irvine has a pledge from Class 2003 forward Mark Hill of Las Vegas-Gorman, Nev.
Enrico Tucker, a Class 2004 guard from San Diego-University, Cal., decommitted from San Diego.
Class 2003 forward Josh Love of Seattle-Rainier Beach, Wash., pledged to Eastern Washington.

Over 720 Class 2003 prospects have made commitments or signed scholarship papers. Signings and commitments by conferences. The early period ran Nov. 13-20 and the late period is Apr. 16-May 15.
