JUCO guard commits to Sun Devils

Class 2003 junior college guard Steve Moore of Compton-Dominquez, Cal/Santa Ana CC, Cal/Eastern Oklahoma CC, Okla., has chosen Arizona State. Among others were UAB, St. Louis, Oregon, New Mexico and Fresno State.

South Carolina has a pledge from Class 2003 center Paulius Joneliunas of Lithuania/Roanoke-Catholic, Va. He was also recruited by Marquette, SMU, Utah, Virginia, Richmond, West Virginia and Hawaii.

Touted Class 2004 center Robert Swift of Bakersfield-Garces, Cal., committed to the USC Trojans over UCLA and Stanford.

Class 2003 guard T.J. Bannister of Jacksonville-Arlington Country Day, Fla., has chosen Virginia.

Dedric Spooner, a Class 2003 forward from Milwaukee, Wis/Milford Prep, Conn/Colby CC, Kan., committed to Charlotte.

Class 2003 guard Kevin Bridgewaters of Columbia-Adair County, Kty., picked Western Kentucky.

Forward Samuel Manhanga of Mozambique/Northfield-Mt. Herman, NH., committed to Brown. Others showing interest were Fordham and Manhattan.

The 26th annual McDonald's All-American High School Basketball Boys Game and the second annual Girls Game will be played in Cleveland, Ohio at the Gund Arena on March 26 at 4:30 p.m. (EST) and 7 p.m. (EST), respectively. ESPN will broadcast the boys game live.

Over 705 Class 2003 prospects have made commitments or signed scholarship papers. Signings and commitments by conferences. The early period ran Nov. 13-20 and the late period is Apr. 16-May 15.

Arizona, Duke, Maryland, Illinois and Kansas lead the Early 2003 Top Classes.
