Super Prospect defensive lineman Sian Cotton of Akron/St. Vincent-St. Mary, Ohio, has committed to Ohio State over Florida, Pittsburgh and Clemson, among many others.
The Oklahoma Sooners pledged Super Prospect defensive lineman Carl Pendleton of Sapulpa, Okla., over Mississippi State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State and Stanford. The Sooners also gained running back Courtney Tennial of Glenpool, Okla., over Northwestern.
Super Prospect running back Albert Young of Moorestown, NJ., decommitted from Wisconsin and is expected to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He rushed for 2180 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior. The Hawkeyes recently pledged Super Prospect quarterback Drew Tate of Baytown-Lee, Tex., who decommitted from Texas A&M following the coaching change, plus receivers James Townsend of Delran-Holy Cross, NJ., over South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia; and Tyler Fanucchi of Claremont, Cal., over Boise State.
The early football signing period for mid-year qualifiers was Dec. 18-Jan 15. The spring period is Feb. 5-Apr. 1. Search the list of Prospects/Commitments/Signings/By Conference. Receiver/defensive back Ryan Skelton of Center Grove, Ind., and linebacker Jake Powers of Danville, Ind., who decommitted from Toledo, picked Indiana. Offensive lineman Corey Hilliard of New Orleans-Jesuit, La., decommitted from the Hoosiers for Oklahoma State.
Big 12:
Defensive back Titus Brothers of Converse-Judson, Tex., chose Nebraska over TCU and Arkansas. The Huskers recently added tight end J.B. Phillips of Colleyville-Heritage, Tex., over Kansas State and Oklahoma State; and Super Prospect linebacker Lance Broadus of Woodland Hills-Taft, Cal., over Arizona, Oklahoma, Oregon and San Diego State.
Texas Tech has pledged offensive lineman Daniel Christian of CC of San Francisco, Cal; and defensive back Joey Garcia of Clovis, NM.
Defensive lineman Chuck Jones of Long Beach-Poly, Cal/Pasadena CC, Cal., is headed to Kansas over Fresno State, UNLV and Arizona.
Big East:
Running back Lennox Whitworth of Milton-Catholic Memorial, Mass., chose Boston College over Vanderbilt. The Eagles recently gained offensive lineman Kevin Sheridan of Cleveland-St. Ignatius, Ohio; defensive back James Silva of East Providence, RI., and Dorien Bryant, a Top 150 receiver/defensive back from Swedesboro-Kingsway Regional NJ.
ACC:
Clemson has a committment from Super Prospect running back/athlete Tramaine Billie of Columbia-Dreher, SC., who decommitted from South Carolina; and offensive/defensive lineman Chris McDuffie of Danville, Va/Hargrave MA, Va., over Arkansas and Florida State. The Tigers recently gained defensive lineman Anthony McDaniel of Columbia-Keenan, SC., over Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina; Top 150 junior college defensive back Brian Staley of Aiken, SC/Georgia Military, Ga., and linebacker Nick Watkins of New Orleans-Karr, La. Staley also considered Florida, Nebraska and South Carolina.
SEC:
Tennessee pledged defensive back Corey Campbell of Spring-Westfield, Tex., over Arizona, Arkansas and Iowa State.
Mississippi pledged Super Prospect running back Alam Abrams of Apopka, Fla., over South Alabama, Purdue and South Carolina, among others; and defensive back/receiver Kareem Moore of Okolona, Miss., over Mississippi State and Nebraska.
Athlete Draak Davis of Vallejo, Cal/Solano CC, Cal., is set for Kentucky after also considering Kansas State, Utah and Nevada.
Defensive back Kevin Woods of Memphis-Fairley, Tenn., and defensive lineman Zarnell Fitch of Oklahoma City-Spencer, Okla/Navarro CC, Tex., picked Arkansas. Fitch also considered Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
Mississippi State has verbals from defensive lineman Corey Clark of Collins, Miss; defensive back Jeramie Johnson of Atlanta-Washington, Ga; and defensive lineman Drew Powell of Clewiston, Fla., over Colorado State, Iowa State and Central Florida.
Conf-USA:
Running back/defensive back Kolby Smith of Tallahassee-Rickards, Fla; and defensive lineman Amobi Okoye of Huntsville-Lee, Ala., picked Louisville. The Cards recently gained receivers B.J. Vickers and Antwuan Giddens, both from Los Angeles-Venice, Cal; plus defensive backs Early McCray of Douglas-Coffee County, Ga., and Jimmy Wright of Melbourne-Palm Bay Senior, Fla.
UAB pledged offensive lineman JaMarius Dismuke of Parker, Ala; running back Durrell Fuqua of Russellville, Ala; and quarterback Jake Tompkins of Russellville, Ala.
Houston collected a pledge from receiver Jeff Fillmore of Brenham, Tex.

Defensive lineman Jared Naylor of Tulsa-Union, Okla., picked New Mexico State. He took an official visit to UCLA, but was not offered.

Rice pledged defensive lineman Courtney Gordon of Gladewater, Tex; quarterback Joel Armstrong of Longview, Tex., over TCU and SMU; and defensive back/receiver Justin Abt of San Antonio-Clark, Tex.
