Miami-Florida has pledges from Super Prospect defensive lineman Eric Moncur of Miami-Carol City, Fla., over interest from North Carolina State, Ohio State, Florida Statre and Georgia; and linebacker Leo Waiters of Miami-Northwestern, Fla., over interest from Florida State, Kansas and North Carolina State.
Super Prospect linebacker Lance Broadus of Woodland Hills-Taft, Cal., chose Nebraska over Arizona, Oklahoma, Oregon and San Diego State.
Clemson has committments from Top 150 junior college defensive back Brian Staley of Aiken, SC/Georgia Military, Ga., and linebacker Nick Watkins of New Orleans-Karr, La. Staley also considered Florida, Nebraska and South Carolina. The Tigers recently gained running back Brandon Nolen of Old Bridge, NJ., over Indiana, Purdue, Rutgers, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Top 150 offensive lineman John Sullivan of Greenwich, Conn., denies reports of making a commitment to Notre Dame over Boston College. He enjoyed his visit to South Bend, has the Irish leading and expects to announce his decision within a few days. Defensive lineman/linebacker Dwight Stephenson Jr. of Boca Raton, Fla., has not personally confirmed a decommitment from Florida to the Irish. Many sources have claimed both prospects are headed for the Irish.
The early football signing period for mid-year qualifiers was Dec. 18-Jan 15. The spring period is Feb. 5-Apr. 1. Search the list of Prospects/Commitments/Signings/By Conference. Defensive lineman Jamaal Jones of Oradell-Bergen Catholic NJ., is headed to Purdue over Rutgers.
Penn State added a verbal from receiver/defensive back Brent Wise of Harrisburg-Central Dauphin, Pa., over UConn.
Minnesota pledged linebacker John Shevlin of Apple Valley-Eastview, Minn., over an offer from Northwestern; and kicker/punter Rhys Lloyd of Rochester Community & Technical College, Minn. The Gophers recently signed linebacker Brian Smith of El Camino CC, Cal.

Kansas has pledged offensive lineman Cesar Rodriguez of La Puente-Bishop Amat, Cal., over interest from Washington, California, UCLA, Arizona and Idaho; defensive lineman Emmanuel Phillips of Cypress-Cy Springs, Tex; and defensive lineman Jon Conlin of Vancouver, BC., who also drew interest from LSU, Utah, Utah State and Boise State.
Texas Tech has pledged offensive lineman/tight end Ben Griffin of Ennis, Tex., who decommitted from Baylor; defensive back Antonio Huffman of Lovejoy, Ga/Dodge City CC, Kan; and defensive back Chris Parker of Dallas-Sunset, Tex.
Defensive lineman/tight end Nick Davidson of Hurst-Bell, Tex., has committed to Iowa State over an offer from Kansas.
Oklahoma State pledged defensive lineman Phil Friess of Conway Springs, Kan; tight end Omar McKenzie of Sugar Land-Dulles, Tex., over Arkansas; and defensive lineman Maurice Cummings of Rosebud-Lott, Tex.
Baylor pledged defensive back Brannan Moton of Pittsburgh, Tex., over Oklahoma State; and receiver Dominque Zeigler of Killen-Harker Heights, Tex.
Defensive lineman Malcolm Wooldridge of Boca Raton, Fla/Hargrave MA, Va/USC/Harper CC, Ill., committed to Kansas State over interest from North Carolina, Indiana and Tennesse. He recently denied a report of a verbal to the Hoosiers. The Wildcats recently added defensive lineman Alphonso Moran of Boca Raton, Fla., over Indiana; and offensive lineman Travis Triplett of st. Louis, Mo/Dodge City CC, Kan., over Clemson, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, South Carolina and Texas Tech.
Big East:
Offensive lineman Kevin Sheridan of Cleveland-St. Ignatius, Ohio, and defensive back James Silva of East Providence, RI., chose Boston College. The Eagles recently gained Dorien Bryant, a Top 150 receiver/defensive back from Swedesboro-Kingsway Regional NJ., over Michigan State, North Carolina State and Purdue, among over 40 other offers.
Rutgers gained linebacker Quintero Frierson of Coral Gables, Fla., over Auburn, Kentucky, South Florida and Central Florida.

Linebacker Martrel Brown of Pembroke-Purnell Swett, NC., has given a verbal to North Carolina State.
Defensive back John Talley of Duncan-Bynres, SC. has given a verbal to Duke.
Maryland gained commitments from Super Prospect defensive lineman Jermaine Lemons of Tampa-Jefferson, Fla., over Notre Dame; and quarterback/tight end Daniel Gronkowski of Williamsville-North, NY.

Florida gained a verbal from offensive lineman Steven Rissler of Sarasota-Riverview, Fla., over South Florida.
Tight end Kenny Williams of Hialeah-American, Fla., has committed to Auburn over Rutgers, Missouri, Mississippi and Central Florida.

Memphis pledged defensive back/athlete Jamal Rufus and offensive/defensive back Jamarcus Gaither, both from Memphis-Frayser, Tenn.
Quarterback Todd Spitzer of Greenville-Hillcrest, SC., picked Cincinnati.
Houston collected pledges from offensive lineman Jason Wagner of Keller, Tex; linebacker Trent Allen of Longview-Spring Hill, Tex; defensive lineman/linebacker Eddie McCray of Baytown-Lee, Tex; defensive back Charlie Jefferson of Denton-Ryan, Tex; and offensive linemen Jeff Akeroyd of Lubbock-Monterey, Tex.
Quarterback Damion Carter of New Orleans-Newman, La., has committed to Southern Mississippi. The Golden Eagles recently gained running back Larry Thomas of Jackson-Callaway, Miss.

SMU gained a firm commitment from linebacker Avery Cleveland of Austin-LBJ, Tex., over TCU and Colorado. SMU recently gained defensive lineman Brandon Bonds of Cooper, Tex; receiver Reynaldo Pellerin of Spring-Westfield, Tex; and defensive back Joe Sturdivant of Lilburn-Parkview, Ga., over Navy and Georgia Tech.
Boise State gained twin offensive linemen Jeff Cavender and Pete Cavender of Elko, Nev.

Colorado State gained receiver Greg Chatman of Carson-Senior, Cal.
