Arkansas has gained a pledge from
defensive lineman/linebacker Bruce Davis of League City-Clear
Creek, Tex., who had decommitted from Texas. Among others were UCLA, Notre
Dame and Oklahoma.
Kansas State signed top junior college
defensive backs Cedrick Williams and Corey Reddick, both from Garden
City CC. Reddick had decommitted from Iowa. The Wildcats recently gained
receiver/defensive back Patrick Thompson of
Dallas-Kimball, Tex., over an offer from Texas A&M.
Illinois signed touted running back Gerard Jackson of Dodge City CC,
Kan., over Oregon State, Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, North Carolina State and
Indiana. The Illini recently gained defensive lineman Arthur Boyd of Shaker Heights,
Ohio, and offensive lineman/tight end Chris Norwell of
Cincinati-Anderson, Ohio.
The early football signing period for mid-year qualifiers is Dec. 18-Jan

transfers in
Tarvaris Jackson, a reserve
quarterback at Arkansas, and Keldrick Williams, a reserve
running back for Tennessee. Both are from Montgomery-Sidney Lanier, Ala.
Big Ten:
Running back Kenni Burns of Springfield-Sacred
Heart Griffin, Ill., committed to Indiana over interest from Missouri,
Boston College, Oregon and Illinois. He rushed for 2444 yards and 36
touchdowns as a senior.
The Hoosiers also added defensive back Aaron Mitchell of South
Holland-Thornwood, Ill; offensive lineman Corey Hilliard of New
Orleans-Jesuit, La; tight end Brian Faires of Indianapolis-Ben
Davis, Ind; and offensive lineman Paul Hearn of Calgary-Champagne
Regional, Alberta.
Big 12:
Missouri gained pledges from
defensive lineman Zane Tomlin of San Antonio-Clark,
Tex., who decommitted from Colorado; defensive lineman Gartrell Cooper of
Arlington-Lamar, Tex., and defensive back Loreno Seymour of St.
Louis-Hazelwood East, Mo.
Big East:
Pittsburgh pledged defensive back Mike Phillips of Warren-Harding,
Ohio, over Iowa; quarterback Joe Flacco of Aububon, NJ; and
linebacker Derron Thomas of Greenbelt-Eleanor
Roosevelt, Md., over Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Syracuse and West
Virginia.
The Panthers recently gained defensive back Windell Brown of Duquesne, Pa; and
kicker/punter Adam Graessle of Dublin-Coffman,
Ohio.
Syracuse pledged running
back/defensive back Jeremy Sellers of
Rawlings-Allegany, Md/Fork Union MA, Va.
ACC:
Defensive lineman Allen Billyk of New Castle, Pa.,
pledged to Virginia over Boston College. The Cavs
recently gained Ian-Yates Cunningham, a Top 150
offensive lineman from Lewisville-Hebron, Tex., over Georgia Tech and
Nebraska (ESPN Chat).
Wake Forest pledged receiver Travo Woods of Longwood-Lyman,
Fla. The Demon Deacons recently gained offensive lineman Steven Justice of New Smyma Beach,
Fla; and receiver Kevin Marion of St.
Petersburg-Catholic, Fla.

South Carolina has a pledge from
defensive back/receiver Cody Wells of Belleview, Fla.
Mississippi has signed defensive back
