Considered the nation's top center, James Lang of Birmingham-Central Park Christian, Ala., did not sign during the early period with Louisville and will wait until spring.
The Cards are projected to have the No. 1 class with Lang, who may also consider the NBA Draft. Among other programs still recruiting him are Kentucky, Alabama, UAB and Georgetown.
One of the top small forwards, Charlie Villanueva of Blairstown-Blair Academy, NJ., also did not sign this fall. Committed to Illinois, he will wait until spring and also consider the NBA Draft.
Over 625 prospects have made verbal commitments or signed scholarship papers. The early period ran Nov. 13-20 and the late period is Apr. 16-May 15. Letters signed on Nov. 20 will still be received by colleges over the next few days.
Louisville, Maryland, Illinois, Kansas and Arizona lead the Early 2003 Top Classes. Remaining uncommitted Top 100 Prospects (4): C-Darryl Watkins; F-Brandon Bass, Linas Kleiza; G-LeBron James.

Super Prospect forward Boubacar Coly of Africa/Laurinburg Institute, NC., is reportedly headed to Xavier.
Previous commitments guard/forward Ronnie LeMelle of Harrisburg, Pa/Philadelphia-Christian Academy, Pa/Western Oklahoma CC, Okla., and center/forward Dwayne Curtis of Chicago-Whitney Young, Ill., signed with Auburn and coach Cliff Ellis. Guard Dwan Youmans of Jacksonville-Arlington Country Day, Fla., is expected to sign with the Tigers during the spring period.
Miami-Florida has added guard Guillermo Diaz of Puerto Rico/Miami-Miami Christian, Fla.
Akron signed forward Romeo Travis of Akron/St. Vincent-St. Mary's, Ohio.
Memphis has added forward Ivan Lopez of Puerto Rico/Miami-Miami Christian, Fla/Norfolk-Ryan Academy, Va.
Minnesota has signed guard Wesley Washington of Santa Ana-Mater Dei, Cal., who was once committed to California; and forward Kerry Woolridge of San Leandro, Cal.
Texas Tech and coach Bob Knight have a Class 2005 commitment from sophomore 6-8 forward Justin Wilkerson of Greenville, Tex. At Indiana, Knight offered guard Damon Bailey a scholarship when Bailey was in the eighth grade. Bailey became an All-Big Ten and third-team All-American for the Hoosiers.
University of San Francisco signed forwards Julian Sensley of Hailua, Hawaii/Los Angeles CC, Cal; and Kenneth Barnes of Chicago Heights-Rich East, Ill/Hartnell CC, Cal.
Centenary signed center Stanley Turner of Ashland, Miss., and forward/center Troy Bryan Williams of Albany-Albany Monroe, Ga. Class 2003:
