Super Prospect forward Sean Phaler of Villa Park, Cal., is headed to the UCLA Bruins over Indiana and Washington.
Phaler veraged 20 points and eight rebounds as a junior. The Bruins recently gained Top 100 forward Trevor Ariza of Los Angeles-Westchester, Cal., over Florida, Georgia, Indiana and UNLV.
Top 100 forward Bobby Nash of Honolulu-Iolani, Hawaii, committed to Hawaii over interest from UNLV, Oklahoma, West Virginia and Baylor, among others.
The Indiana Hoosiers gained their first commitment in forward Jessan Gray of Davenport-Central, Ia., over interest from Indiana State, Nebraska, Alabama State and Creighton.
The early signing period for basketball begins on Wednesday (Nov. 13-20). Over 525 prospects have made verbal commitments.
Louisville, Maryland, Illinois, Kansas and Arizona lead the Early 2003 Top Classes. Remaining Top 100 Prosects (6): C-Darryl Watkins; F-Brandon Bass, Linas Kleiza, Jarvelle Scott; G-LeBron James, Ronnie Brewer.
