The nation's top two small forward prospects have made commitments.

Luol Deng of Blairstown-Blair Academy, NJ., has chosen Duke and coach Mike Krzyzewski over Indiana, Missouri and Virginia. Teammate Charlie Villanueva committed to Illinois over Villanova, Indiana and Seton Hall.

Duke, which had the nation's top class last year, has commitments from two Top Ten seniors, including Deng and forward Kris Humphries of Minnetonka-Hopkins, Minn. Illinois has four Top 100 prospects in Villanueva, forward Warren Carter of Dallas-Lake Highlands, Tex., guard Richard McBride of Springfield-Lanphier, Ill., and forward Brian Randle of Peoria-Notre Dame, Ill.

Both Villanueva, who recently qualified, and Deng may consider the NBA Draft next spring.

Louisville, Maryland, Illinois, Kansas and Arizona lead the Early 2003 Top Classes.

Super Prospect forward Sean Phaler of Villa Park, Cal., is close to deciding between UCLA, Indiana and Washington. He averaged 20 points and eight rebounds as a junior.

Top 100 forward Cartier Martin of Houston-Nimitz, Tex., is near a decision between Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas and Kentucky.

Despite late interest, Top 100 forward Tyrone Nelson of Hempstead, Tex., is firmly committed to the Baylor Bears, according to head coach Bobby Spain.

Fairleigh Dickinson pledged forward Jordan Ingram of Philadelphia-Archbishop Carroll, Pa.

Guard Ray George of Decatur, Ga/Virginia Beach-Coastal Christian Academy, Va., pledged to Georgia State.

Guard Mike Woodard of Fairburn-Creekside, Ga., picked Youngstown State.

Colgate has a commitment from guard Dan Gentile of Oradell-Bergen Catholic, NJ.

Guard Majak Kou of Hamilton-Cathedral, Ontario, chose Loyola-Illinois.

Applalachian State pledged guard Darrell (DJ) Thompson of Raleigh-Leesville Road, NC.

Guard Tony Skinn of Washington, DC/Blinn CC, Tex/Hagerstown CC, Md., and forward Jesus Urbina of Amelia-Amelia Academy, Va., committed to George Mason.

Forward Jabyron Wilson of Lake City, SC., picked Charleston.

Creighton pledged guard Tim Blackwell of Cameron, Mo., over Wichita State, Kansas State and Iowa State, among others.

Much-discussed forward Julian Sensley of Kailua, Hawaii/St. Thomas More, Conn., has reportedly pledged to San Francisco. Among his travels: Sensley originally signed with California, but did not qualify; enrolled at Iona, but quickly withdrew; verballed to Fresno State, but did not sign; entered the NBA Draft, but withdrew; expected to play this season at Southern Nevada CC, Nev., but enrolled at Los Angeles CC, Cal.

Canisius has pledges from forward Darnell Wilson of Westland-John Glenn, Mich.; and guard Chuck Harris of Detroit-DePorres, Mich.

Penn pledged forwards Ryan Pettinella of Rochester-McQuaid Jesuit, NY; and Steve Danley of Hyattsville-Dematha, Md.

Princeton has a pledge from forward Brian Elbogen of San Ramon-California, Cal.

Southern Illinois has a pledge from forward Jamaal Foster of Columbia-Hickman, Mo., over Western Michigan.

Guard Andre King-Holland of Melbourne-Florida Air Force Academy, Fla., pledged to Arkansas State.

Nevada has a pledge from center/forward Nick Fazekas of Arvada-Ralston Valley, Colo., over Utah and Marquette.

Hofstra pledged guard Loren Stokes of Oakdale-St. Thomas More, Conn.

Maine has guard Chris Bruff of West Hartford-Northwest Catholic, Conn.

Forward Miles Orman of Oradell-Bergen Catholic, NJ., pledged to Marist.

Forward William Harris of Detroit-King, Mich/Macomb CC, Ill., selected Central Michigan. He averaged 11 points, eight rebounds and had 62 blocks last season.

Cornell gained forward Dane Williams of Columbus, Ga.
