The Oklahoma Sooners have commitments from Super Prospect offensive lineman Akim Millington of Wheaton-North, Ill., Top 150 junior college tight end Willie Roberts of Miami-Southridge, Fla/Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Okla., and Super Prospect defensive lineman Steven Coleman of Dallas-Skyline, Tex.
Millington was also being recruited by Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Boston College and Miami-Florida, among many others. Coleman had considered Colorado, Kansas State, Miami-Florida and Tennessee, while Roberts, who originally signed with Miami-Florida as a prep, had recently decommitted from the Hurricanes. All of Oklahoma's 10 verbals are rated Top 150 or Super Prospects.
Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, Colorado and Oklahoma lead the Early Top Classes.

Receiver/defensive back Herb Grigsby of Mayflower, Ark., who recently decommitted from Arkansas, has chosen the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also had offers from Arizona, Oklahoma State and Mississippi.
Mississippi State pledged linebacker Brad Horton of Columbus-Spencer, Ga., over Georgia, Florida and Indiana.
Purdue has its 8th commitment in receiver Robert Smith of Arlington-Bowie, Tex.
Offensive lineman Will Oliver of Lindale, Tex., has decommitted from Texas A&M and is now considering Nebraska, TCU, Texas Tech and Army. Defensive back prospect Broderick Newton of Aldeo, Tex., verballed to the Aggies over interest from SMU, Tulsa and New Mexico.
Running back Brandon McAnderson of Lawrence, Kan., pledged to Kansas. Showing interest were Missouri, Kansas State, Iowa and Wyoming.
Virginia has a Class 2004 junior commitment from defensive/offensive lineman Chris Long of Charlottesville/St. Anne's-Belfield, Va., who is the son of former NFL Oakland star defensive lineman Howie Long.
Florida State has commitments from defensive linemen Chris Bradwell of Alpharetta-Chattahoochee, Ga/Hargrave MA, Va; and Chris Anderson of Jacksonville-Mandarin, Fla/Hargrave MA, Va. Both prospects signed with the Seminoles in Class 2002, but did not qualify.
Defensive lineman Eric Gaskins of Durham-Southern, NC., pledged to Wake Forest over Virginia. Offensive lineman Matt Brim of Winston-Salem/Carver, NC., recently decommitted from East Carolina for the Demon Deacons
Southern Mississippi gained receiver Anthony Perine of Lucedale-George County, Miss.
Vanderbilt has a verbal from offensive lineman Josh Eames of Cape May/Lower Cape May Regional, NJ. The Commodores recently added offensive lineman Elliott Hood of Indianapolis-Franklin Central, Ind; and defensive back Marcus Buggs of Madison-Goopasture, Tenn.
Defensive back Ty Erving of Batesburg/Batesburg-Leesville, SC., pledged to South Carolina over Clemson and North Carolina State. Only days after decommitting, linebacker/defensive lineman Marcus Lawrence of Aiken, SC/Butler County CC, Kan., repledged to the Gamecocks.
Defensive back Sheldon Shakespeare of Jacksonville-First Coast, Fla., verballed to Central Florida over Louisville, Wake Forest and Troy State.
Toledo has its first verbal in linebacker Kareem Ferguson of Pittsburgh-Perry Traditional, Pa.
Washington State added offensive lineman Bobby Byrd of Oceanside, Cal., over Oregon and Washington. The Cougars recently added receiver/defensive back Christian Bass of Moreno Valley-Canyon Springs, Cal.
Considered among the nation's top junior college defensive backs, Donte Nicholson of Pomona-Diamond Bar, Cal/Mt. San Antonio CC, Cal., denies a newspaper report that he has committed to the USC Trojans. Nicholson, who originally signed with Washington, is considering the Huskies, USC, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Florida State, Oregon and Oregon State, among many others.
