Promising forward Kirk Walters of Grand Rapids-South Christian, Mich., has committed to the Arizona Wildcats.

Arizona recently gained verbals from Top 100 guard Mustafa Shakur of Wynnewood-Friends Central, Pa., over North Carolina State; and the nation's top power forward prospect, Ndudi Ebi of Houston-Westbury Christian, Tex., over Duke, Texas and Houston.

Louisville, Maryland, Kansas, Arizona and Memphis lead the Early 2003 Top Classes.

Guard Wesley Washington of Santa Ana-Mater Dei, Cal., who originally chose California, has firmly committed to Minnesota, according to his prep coach Gary McKnight. Washington earlier gave a tenative verbal to the Gophers.

Houston has commitments from Top 100 junior college forward/center Darrius Brannon of Port Arthur, Tex/Lee CC, Tex., and center Elijah Miller of Cleveland-Heritage Christian, Tex.

UNLV has a commitment from Top 100 junior college forward/center Chris Adams of San Francisco-Mission, Cal/CC of San Francisco, Cal., over Fresno State.

Center Liam Hughes of Modesto-Modesto Christian, Cal., and forward Kyle Jeffers of Santa Rosa-Montgomery, Cal., committed to the Oregon State Beavers.

South Carolina has a commitment from guard Tre Kelly of Washington, DC-Dunbar, who averaged 29.5 points as a junior. He also considered Kent State and West Virginia.

Long Island has a commitment from guard James Williams of DeSoto, Tex.

Guard Nick Grant of Fairfax-Paul VI, Va., committed to Drake.

Forward Anthony Brown of Sacramento-Kennedy, Cal., picked San Jose State.

Washington State has a commitment from Top 100 junior college center Justin Garcia of Mira Loma-Jurupa Valley, Cal/Northern Arizona/San Bernardino CC, Cal.

Idaho added forward Anton Lyons of Vallejo, Cal/Santa Rosa CC, Cal., over Pacific and Southern Utah.

Hawaii pledged forward Jeff Blackett of Salt Lake CC, Utah, over interest from Creighton, UTEP, Weber State and Pacific.
