Top 100 forward Brandon Wallace of Aiken-Silver Bluff, S.C., has chosen South Carolina over Maryland and Auburn. He averaged 22 points and 14 rebounds as a junior.
The Missouri Tigers have a commitment from Top 100 guard Thomas Gardner of Portland-Jefferson, Ore., over UConn and Kansas. He averaged 15.5 points as a junior.
Outstanding forward Keith Wooden of Lawrence-Free State, Kan., picked Arizona State. He averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds as a junior. In a huge recruiting coup, the Oklahoma Sooners and coach Kelvin Sampson have gained two Top 100 pledges in guard Andrew Lavender and forward Brandon Foust, teammates from Columbus-Brookhaven, Ohio. The Sooners outfought Pittsburgh and Mississippi for the prospects. Among many other programs involved were DePaul, Clemson, Marquette, Ohio State and Rutgers. The Sooners had earlier received a commitment from Top 100 guard Lawrence McKenzie of Minneapolis-Henry Senior, Minn. Oklahoma is rated No. 10 among the Early Top Classes.

Georgetown has a reported pledge from center Reda Rhalimi of Morocco/Daytona Beach CC, Fla. Guard Kyle Greathouse of Lancaster, Ohio, pledged to Western Carolina. Junior guard E.J. Harris of Los Angeles-Crenshaw, Calif., has transferred from Washington State to Sacramento State. He will redshirt this upcoming season and have two years remaining. Forward Randal Falker of St. Louis-Gateway Tech, Mo., committed to Southern Illinois over interest from Nebraska, Butler and Western Michigan. Class 2003:

Texas Tech pledged defensive lineman Keyunta Dawson and defensive back Chad Johnson, both from Shreveport-Evangel, La. Junior receiver Sidney Rice of Gaffney, S.C., has committed to South Carolina for Class 2004. He caught 57 passes for 897 yards and seven touchdowns as a prep sophomore. Linebacker Nathan Pauly of Conway Springs, Kan., has become the third commitment for Colorado State. His brother, Eric, is a star linebacker for the Rams. Class 2003:
